Bones Over Metal becomes Awesome Land.com

Sometimes in life we are handed the keys to something special. That’s how I felt when making Women Of Dirt and the name “Awesome Land” came up. It was the theme for the Whistler segment of the film. As in, people, such as, those that live year round in Whistler, do so, because they are drawn to living permanently in Awesome Land. Now most of us can not live this way. But, it was under the influence of this awesome shoot in Whistler that I realized that Bones Over Metal.com now had to be Awesome Land.com. This was not an easy choice, nor was I able to make it happen right away.

We had over 5 years invested in the branding of Bones Over Metal. It was the strength of Bones Over Metal that made it possible to fund Women Of Dirt. But, I knew that I had to creatively destroy the brand while building the brand of Awesome Land in the action sports community. However, I didn’t have the domain and it was an active real estate website.

This is where things worked out. The guys behind Awesome Land.com (the old site) where changing focus due to their changing market. They gave us a price for the domain that was more than fair. Now with Awesome Land.com we have a site that uses all the latest social networking and rss feed tools to reflect a collective voice. This collective voice consists of athletes, organizers, other media, and the industry. Going forward, we will produce other Awesome Land films. And we always give our clients the Awesome Land experience. But, right now, you can always find an example of someone living in awesomeness on Awesome Land.com.
